BIGBANG Kicks Off 20th Anniversary World Tour 'XX : COSMOS' in Goyang
K-POP group BIGBANG has launched its 20th anniversary world tour with a three-night run at Goyang Stadium's main arena. The tour, titled "BIGBANG 2026~2027 WORLD TOUR 'XX : COSMOS' IN GOYANG," opened on August 21.
The Goyang shows feature the group's biggest hits, solo stages from each member, and the first live performance of the new single "BiiiG." Members were directly involved in building the setlist and shaping the stage design and direction.
The production leans heavily on international collaborators. A live band led by Wow Jones, who has worked with Usher and Post Malone, is performing every song live. Mike Carson and stage designer Es Devlin are supporting the direction. The stage also includes a 23-ton movable LED rig.
In the lead-up to the tour, BIGBANG rolled out a wide promotional campaign. The group produced a collaboration video with a science YouTube channel, was named an ambassador for Korea's space agency, and staged lighting shows and media exhibitions around the Han River and the Jamsil area.
After Goyang, the tour heads overseas. BIGBANG will play 33 shows across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. Additional dates and regions will be announced later.
The group's new digital single "BiiiG," released on August 19, has already topped the real-time and daily charts on Korean streaming platforms. It also reached No. 1 on the iTunes song chart in 24 regions.
Two decades in, BIGBANG is treating its anniversary less as a victory lap than as a full-scale global production, with a new single, a world tour, and a promotional push that stretches from the Han River to outer space.
