GD Prevents Cameraman From Falling Off Stage at 20th Anniversary Concert

BIGBANG's G-DRAGON(GD) prevented a camera operator from falling off the stage during the group's 20th anniversary concert. A clip of the moment has since spread widely across Korean social media.

BIGBANG held its 20th anniversary world tour "XX: COSMOS" at Goyang Sports Complex from August 21st to 23rd, drawing an estimated100,000 fans over three nights.

After the shows, videos began circulating on online communities and social media. In the videos, G-DRAGON spots a camera operator backing up toward the edge of the stage, which sits about two meters off the ground, while filiming. He quickly gestures for him to stop and G-DRAGON guides him back toward the middle, then stays close behind the director to watch his path for the rest of the section.

A person who identified herself online as the cameraman's wife described what happened. "G-DRAGON saved my husband," she wrote. "The stage is about two meters high. In that part, the artist keeps moving toward the director, so my husband was backing up to hold the angle. If it hadn't been for G-DRAGON, he would have fallen off the stage. It could have been really serious. We're deeply grateful to him once again. Thanks to him, my husband came home safe."

The Goyang shows opened a global run that will take BIGBANG to 19 cities across the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, and more, for a total of 33 concerts.
