HYBE's New Girl Group TUIDE Debuts With First Mini Album 'TUNE & PLAY'

HYBE is adding a new girl group to its roster. Seven-member act TUIDE will release its first mini album, "TUNE & PLAY," at 6 p.m. KST on Aug. 24.

TUIDE consists of Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Sea and Hani. The group is the first artist launched by ABD, a new HYBE Music Group label dedicated to girl groups.

The group's name comes from the phrase "Tune the tide," reflecting its aim to bring seven distinct personalities into a shared musical direction. The debut album follows the same idea, combining "TUNE," the process of bringing different musical voices together, with "PLAY," the enjoyment found along the way.

The five-track album includes the title song "SUN KISS," along with "ABD," "Echo," "Flip-Flop Girl" and "GRLS." Production duo GroovyRoom produced the entire record.

"SUN KISS" is about trusting one's own voice and focusing on the rhythm and emotions within. A hard-edged instrumental contrasts with a relaxed melody, while the recurring "Ba-da ba-ba-ba" hook anchors the track.

Ahead of its official debut, TUIDE held a preview event featuring performances of all five songs and released "GRLS" in advance. The "Meet my GRLS, TUIDE" video remained in the top 10 of Spotify's Global Music Videos chart for two consecutive weeks and ranked near the top of YouTube Korea's trending music chart.

TUIDE will hold its debut showcase, "TUIDE DEBUT SHOWCASE [TUNE & PLAY]," at YES24 Live Hall in eastern Seoul at 8 p.m. on the same day.
