Former BIGBANG member T.O.P met fans as a solo artist this month, just as his old group launched a 20th anniversary world tour without him. The rapper held his brand tour "T.O.P PRE-STUDIO 2026 in TAIPEI" at NTSU Arena in Taipei on Aug. 22 and 23, the second stop of a run that began in Hong Kong on Aug. 15.

Demand was strong enough that organizers added a show in Taipei after the original dates sold out.

The concept centered on fan input. Before each show, audiences voted on which tracks from T.O.P's first full-length solo album, "ANOTHER DIMENSION," they wanted to hear together, and which pieces of fan-made work would be featured on stage.

During the show, T.O.P answered questions submitted by fans and listened to the selected songs alongside the audience. He then introduced fan-made remixes, performances, and artwork, sharing his own thoughts on each piece. The tour continues through other cities in Asia.

T.O.P left BIGBANG in 2023. The group, now made up of Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung, marked its 20th debut anniversary on the 19th by releasing a new digital single, "BiiiG," and returning as a full unit for the first time in years. From Aug. 21 to 23, the three members opened their 20th anniversary world tour at Goyang Stadium in Ilsan. The tour will visit 19 cities across North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia for a total of 33 shows.

The split-screen moment sums up where BIGBANG's story stands two decades in. One of K-pop's most influential groups is back on a global stage as a trio, while its former fourth member builds a separate career designed around direct contact with the fans who continued to support him after his departure.
