KATSEYE has officially cancelled their appearance at Olivia Rodrigo's inaugural Daisy Chain Fields festival after Megan suffered an ankle injury during rehearsals, adding another health setback for the group just days before the start of its world tour.

In an announcement posted to the group's Weverse community on August 28th, KATSEYE announced Megan's injury was caused during a tour rehearsal just the previous day. After being evaluated by doctors, she was advised to stay off the injury and give it time to heal ahead of the group's tour.

"We're so incredibly sorry to share that we are unable to perform at Daisy Chain Fields this Saturday," the group said, adding that they were particularly disappointed to miss an event centered around "the greater mission of joy and community."

Daisy Chain Fields is set to take place Aug. 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California. Founded by Olivia Rodrigo and produced by C3 Presents, the sold-out, single-day festival brings together an all-women lineup including Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, and more, alongside special guests such as Stevie Nicks.

The festival was created around the idea that music, community and creativity can be used to drive social change, with net proceeds benefiting nonprofit organizations that advocate for women and girls. KATSEYE had originally been announced as one of the acts performing across the festival's two stages.

The cancellation, however, has attracted particular attention because of its timing. KATSEYE is scheduled to begin its "WILD WORLD TOUR" on September 1st, leaving only days between Megan's injury and the start of the tour.

It also comes at a time when KATSEYE is already promoting without two of its six members.

Manon has been on a temporary hiatus from group activities since February to focus on her health and well-being.While Sophia, temporarily stepped away from promotional activities earlier this month to focus on her mental health and wellness. Her condition is expected to be reassessed in September.

As a result, Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae have recently been carrying out KATSEYE's activities as a four-member lineup. Megan's latest injury has therefore renewed concern among some fans over whether the group should continue its upcoming schedule as planned.

Some fans argued that the cancellation itself was less concerning than the circumstances surrounding it, questioning whether KATSEYE's remaining active members have been placed under increased pressure while the group continues major promotional activities and prepares for its tour.

"The whole group should be put on a six-month hiatus to rest and recover," one fan wrote, expressing concern over what the six members may have been experiencing amid the recent string of absences and health issues.

The concerns are also amplified by Megan's previous health history. She has previously had to limit performances due to a back injury, with medical professionals advising her to reduce physical activity while recovering.

With the "WILD WORLD TOUR" beginning in only a matter of days, Megan's condition and how KATSEYE approaches performances while three of its six members are either resting or recovering, is likely to remain a concern among fans heading into the opening shows.
