IVE Scores Double No. 1 on Global and Domestic Charts Ahead of Comeback
K-POP group IVE took No. 1 on both the global and domestic weekly charts of K-POPIT BOARD after releasing a pre-release track from its new album. The group KATSEYE also ranked near the top of the global chart after a performance at a major fashion show sparked a surge in public interest.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, an analytics index that tracks K-POP, data released on Oct.26 showed that IVE ranked No. 1 on both charts for the fourth week of October (Oct. 19 to 25). The group scored 65.8 on the global power index, PWR(GL), and 72.5 on the domestic power index, PWR(KR).
IVE climbed 25 spots on the domestic chart and 23 spots on the global chart compared with the previous week.
The climb began on Oct. 19. That day, the audio and music video for the title track from the group's new EP, "Looks Can Kill," were released ahead of the full album. On the day of the pre-release, IVE ranked No. 35 domestically and No. 37 globally. By the next day, Oct. 20, the group had surged to No. 2 domestically and No. 12 globally.
The "Looks Can Kill" music video reached No. 1 on YouTube's worldwide trending music videos chart. That pushed up interest from both the public and the media. In a single day, MAS, K-POPIT BOARD's media-mention metric, rose from 69.2 to 97.7. The D-layer growth rate, which tracks interest from the general public beyond the fandom, increased by 69%.
Streaming figures surged on Oct. 22. IVE's global Apple Music figures jumped 5,997% from the previous day, sending the group straight to No. 1 on the global chart. VCR, which measures how effectively online buzz turns into actual content plays, also reached a top score of 100.
KATSEYE also made a significant move last week, too. The group scored 59.2 on PWR(GL), climbing 25 spots to No. 3 from the previous week. On PWR(KR), it scored 63.1, rising 11 spots to No. 5.
The rise is believed to be linked to the group's stage at the "2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show," held in Los Angeles on Oct. 18 local time. KATSEYE performed alongside pop stars including Tate McRae, which put the group in front of a wider global audience.
Following the show, KATSEYE's D-layer score, a measure of how far interest is spreading among the public, surged 574.7%. This triggered a "Crossover" alert on K-POPIT BOARD. The alert is triggered when an artist's buzz spreads rapidly beyond its core fandom and reaches the general public.
Meanwhile, IVE is set to release its new EP, "Looks Can Kill," on major music platforms on Oct. 26.
