So Su-bin Marks 10-Year Debut Anniversary With First Full Album 'As Always'
Korean singer-songwriter So Su-bin has released her first full-length album to mark the 10th anniversary of her debut.
So Su-bin dropped her debut studio album, "As Always" (Neul Geuraewatdeon Geotcheoreom), on major music platforms on the 27th. The 11-track record traces her life and emotional shifts from the time she moved to Seoul at 21 to pursue a music career through to the present.
The album is sequenced chronologically. It moves from her early twenties, through a stretch of uncertainty in her mid-to-late twenties, and into the growth she has reached now, with a look ahead. So Su-bin wrote and composed every song on the record, building a single arc from track one through track 11.
Ahead of release, her team rolled out concept photos, track-by-track commentary, and live preview videos of the album cuts.
The record carries two title tracks, "I Should Have Told You It's Okay" (Gwaenchantago Malhaejul Geol Geuraesseo) and "Don't Go" (Gaji Mallago). "I Should Have Told You It's Okay" is a ballad about the regret of words left unsaid at the end of a relationship. "Don't Go" looks back at a past love and at her own younger self, building through slowly layered sound and humming.
The music video for "I Should Have Told You It's Okay" features actor Nam Yoon-su.
So Su-bin first drew wide attention as the runner-up on JTBC's "Sing Again 3." This year she released the single "every!" in March, followed by the remake single "More Beautiful" (Deo Areumdawojyeo) in July, before landing this first full album.
She will follow the release with a two-night solo concert, "As Always, From Now On" (Neul Geuraewatdeon Geotcheoreom Apeurodo), on October 24 and 25 at Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park. The setlist will include every song from the new album. Tickets go on sale October 31 at 8 p.m. KST through the ticketing platform NOL.
