Yoo Jiae's Past Radio Confession About Kwak Si-yang Resurfaces After Wedding News

Actor Kwak Si-yang and Yoo Jiae, a former member of the K-pop girl group Lovelyz, are getting married. The surprise announcement has sent fans back to a 2024 radio appearance in which Yoo named Kwak as her favorite actor.

The two shared the news on Sept. 3. Their agencies confirmed the relationship and said the wedding will take place privately in November. The couple had never been linked publicly before the announcement, which caught fans off guard.

Attention has since turned to a resurfaced radio appearance. On Nov. 11, 2024, Yoo joined SBS Power FM's "Bae Sung-jae's Ten" and talked about the actors she admired.

Host Bae Sung-jae asked Yoo which actor she liked when she was younger. She mentioned Kang Dong-won, then added that her taste had shifted. "These days my favorites have changed. I like Kwak Si-yang and Yeon Woo-jin," she said. Bae replied, "I hope it works out. As a fan."

Nearly two years later, one of those names is now her fiancé. The clip has drawn a wave of congratulatory comments, along with fans even calling the location a kind of pilgrimage site.

Kwak, born in 1987, and Yoo, born in 1993, are six years apart. The couple dated for about a year before deciding to marry.
