Actor Ryu Jun-yeol has scored a global hit with "Mousetrap," the Netflix series that marks his first dual-role performance since his debut. The show has climbed into the top tier of Netflix's worldwide TV rankings, giving the actor his second global streaming success in a row.

According to the online content ranking site FlixPatrol, the Netflix original series "Mousetrap" ranked No. 4 on the global TOP TV Shows chart.

Released on Aug. 28, "Mousetrap" topped the charts in South Korea, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Pakistan, and the Philippines. Its reach extended beyond Asia into the Middle East, Europe, and South America, where it also charted.

The series marked a milestone for Ryu Jun-yeol. It was the first time he played two roles in a single project, moving between a real and a fake version of the same figure and portraying two characters on opposite ends of the spectrum.

The project also arrived as Ryu Jun-yeol recently signed with Galaxy Corporation, signaling a new phase in his career. In a statement, the agency said, "It is meaningful that global viewers responded so warmly to Ryu Jun-yeol's new challenge and acting transformation. We are grateful for the passionate interest and support from audiences at home and abroad."

The success continues a strong streak for the actor. He previously starred in the Netflix series "The 8 Show," and now follows it with another global hit in "Mousetrap."
