Stray Kids' Bang Chan has reached another major songwriting milestone. For the group's leader, however, the number attached to it appears to matter considerably less than the music behind it.

Bang Chan has now reached 244 registered works with the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA), further extending his position as the K-POP idol with the most registered songs. His latest credit comes through DJ Tukutz's "TUKUTZISM" featuring Crush, released on September 4.

The achievement adds another number to a songwriting career that has developed alongside Bang Chan's work as a performer. Together with Changbin and Han as 3RACHA, he has remained deeply involved in Stray Kids' music since the group's debut, with the three members forming the production core behind much of its discography.

Yet when STAYs began celebrating his latest KOMCA milestone, Bang Chan's own response offered a slightly different perspective on what those 244 credits mean to him.

"I REALLY don't think much about it!!!" he told fans through Bubble. "I need to make GOOD songs... Numbers don't matter..."

Bang Chan was also careful to acknowledge why the achievement meant something to fans.

"Ok, I know it's a big achievement," he continued. "And I know STAYs are super proud of it. But I wish you understand that I DON'T WANT it to be something to make a big fuss about."

Rather than dismissing the milestone, his comments appeared to draw a distinction between being proud of the work and allowing the number itself to become the focus.

It is an especially fitting sentiment considering how those 244 credits were accumulated. Bang Chan's songwriting history stretches back to his pre-debut work with Changbin and Han as 3RACHA, years before Stray Kids would grow into one of K-POP's biggest touring acts.

That creative involvement did not disappear as the group's popularity increased. Instead, producing and songwriting have remained central to Stray Kids' identity, with 3RACHA continuing to contribute extensively across the group's albums while increasingly taking part in projects outside their own discography.

KOMCA credits are ultimately a record of individual works, and Bang Chan's growing total provides a numerical glimpse at just how consistently songwriting has accompanied his career as an idol. Yet his reaction also serves as a reminder that, from the creator's perspective, having more songs attached to one's name does not automatically make those songs better.

For STAYs, reaching 244 offers plenty of reason to be proud of how far Bang Chan has come since his early days creating music with 3RACHA. For Bang Chan himself, however, the goal he expressed is considerably simpler: not necessarily making more songs, but continuing to make good ones.

Meanwhile, Stray Kids will head to Latin America for "STRAYCITY," their own branded festival series, with stops in Bogotá, Buenos Aires and Mexico City throughout September.
