NewJeans' Hae-rin Attends Luxury Brand Event Alongside Chaebol Heiress Lee Ju-young
NewJeans member Hae-rin was recently seen at a luxury brand event alongside a fourth-generation chaebol heiress. The appearance drew attention as her first public outing since announcing her return to agency, ADOR.
On September 8, Lee Ju-young posted a photo to her Instagram Story with the caption "Until September 29."
The image showed Lee at an event for a European luxury brand, identified in Korean media only by the initial "D." Standing close to Hae-rin and posing for the camera, Lee drew notice for a look that echoed the NewJeans member's own soft, feline features while remaining distinct.
The event marked Hae-rin's first public appearance since November 2025, when she announced her intention to return to ADOR, the HYBE sublabel that manages NewJeans.
NewJeans declared the termination of its exclusive contract with ADOR at an emergency press conference on November 29, 2024. ADOR then filed a lawsuit seeking confirmation that the contract remained valid. In October 2025, a first-instance court ruled that the contract between the two sides was still in effect.
Lee Ju-young is the granddaughter of Daelim Group honorary chairman Lee Joon-yong and the daughter of Lee Hae-chang, executive vice president of corporate strategy at Daelim Corporation. Born in 2000, she is 26 years old this year. In 2019, she ranked fourth in a Sisa Journal survey of stock holdings among minors under the age of 19. She is currently studying law at Georgetown University Law Center and works as an influencer and YouTuber.
