Han Ga-in Returns to Drama After 8 Years in 'Recruit 4' Cameo With Kim Dong-jun
Actress Han Ga-in is returning to drama for the first time in roughly eight years, making a special appearance as the older sister of Kim Dong-jun's character. The two have long been known for their striking resemblance, and they are now sharing the screen as siblings in the same project.
A preview for episode 7 of ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama "New Recruit 4: Sabotage" (Sinbyeong 4: Sabotaju), released on Sept. 8, showed Han playing Jeon Woo-ju, the older sister of Jeon Se-gye, played by Kim. In the clip, Jeon Woo-ju visits her younger brother's military base, and the other soldiers are stunned by her looks.
Her screen time in the preview is short, but the pairing drew attention on its own. Since his debut, Kim has often been told his sharp features resemble Han's.
The two previously met on Han's YouTube channel, where their resemblace became a talking point. They discussed their similar looks and even tested whether one could unlock the other's phone with Face ID, turning the running lookalike joke into an lighthearted bit of content.
The cameo also marks Han's first drama role since OCN's "Mistress" (Miseuteuriseu) in 2018, marking a gap of roughly eight years. Attention now turns to how she and Kim will play off each other as siblings in the coming episodes.
