BABYMONSTER Takes 10 Billion-View Momentum to K-POPIT Board No. 1
BABYMONSTER has risen on the K-POPIT Board as the girl group celebrates surpassing 10 billion cumulative YouTube views while continuing to build momentum through their ongoing second world tour.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, the K-POP analytics index, BABYMONSTER recorded a Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 64 on the GLOBAL Rise Chart on September 11. The Power Index combines data from music charts, social media activity and news coverage to measure an artist's overall momentum.
The latest boost comes as BABYMONSTER recently surpassed 10 billion cumulative views on their official YouTube channel, reaching the milestone approximately three years and eight months after the channel was launched. In doing so, they became the fastest K-POP girl group to reach the figure and only the second to do so after fellow YG Entertainment group BLACKPINK.
Rather than being driven by a single viral release, BABYMONSTER's YouTube presence has continued to grow across music videos, performance content and other releases. Seventeen videos on the group's channel have surpassed 100 million views, while music videos including “SHEESH” and “DRIP” have each accumulated around 400 million views.
The milestone arrives as BABYMONSTER is simultaneously expanding its presence offline. The group is currently carrying out its second world tour, “2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM],” which began with sold-out concerts in Seoul in June and has since taken the members to major venues across Japan and other Asian markets.
The tour follows the release of their May EP “CHOOM” and represents another step up in scale for a group that only began its official activities in 2023. Alongside arena and dome performances in Japan, BABYMONSTER has continued traveling across Asia, with recent overseas schedules keeping the group visible beyond individual comeback periods.
At the same time, not all of the recent attention surrounding BABYMONSTER has been tied to records and touring. Discussion around member Rami, who has remained on hiatus due to health reasons since 2025 while the group promotes as six members, has continued among fans.
The issue recently resurfaced after a fan project reportedly intended to represent all seven BABYMONSTER members was asked by YG Entertainment to remove a symbol associated with Rami. The request prompted reactions from some fans questioning how the absent member was being represented during her hiatus and once again brought attention to the uncertainty surrounding her return.
Their latest K-POPIT Board momentum therefore reflects two sides of the same expansion. Billions of YouTube views demonstrate the scale of the audience BABYMONSTER has accumulated online, while their ongoing world tour is increasingly translating that digital reach into demand at venues across international markets. At the same time, continued discussion surrounding Rami has kept the group's activities and seven-member future part of the wider online conversation.
Less than three years into their official career, BABYMONSTER's latest figures suggest that the group's global presence is no longer being measured solely by the potential expected of YG Entertainment's next girl group. With 10 billion views behind them and a second world tour underway, that reach is increasingly being demonstrated in numbers of their own.
