Vocalist Solji is stepping into trot. The singer releases a special single Monday at 6 p.m. KST across major streaming platforms, marking her first full move into the genre.

The project is a thank-you to fans who supported her run on MBN's "Queen of Legend 3," a trot competition series that gave her a new stage this year. The single is built around double title tracks, "Over the Limit" and "My One and Only," with a third song, "How About Me," rounding out the release.

"Over the Limit" leads with bright brass and a lyrical accordion line, blending trot with dance pop. The lyrics use the phrase "over the limit" as a playful stand-in for falling so hard that emotions spill past their cap. Instead of playing games, the narrator asks to be loved without restraint. Solji's clear, open voice carries the message.

The second title track, "My One and Only," moves in the opposite direction. It is a tender trot ballad about the family, friends, and partners who quietly grow more fragile as time passes, and about the apologies and thank-yous never said in time. The song was produced by the writing duo Algoboni Honsoosangtae, who also worked with Solji on "Can I Fall in Love Again," her OST for the drama "Love Is Coming."

The third track, "How About Me," is a dance-trot song about a woman confident enough to make the first move. Fast EDM production meets Solji's stage energy for a lighter, upbeat close to the single.

Solji built her reputation on shows like "King of Mask Singer," "Duet Song Festival," and "Queen of Legend," earning a name as one of the country's strongest live vocalists. This special single is her formal entry point as a trot artist, testing how her range translates in a genre where vocal control and emotional delivery decide careers.

The trot special single arrives today at 6 p.m. KST on major music platforms.
