"We're Home": Jannabi Return to ATA Festival After an Unforgettable Crowd

Band Jannabi returned to the ATA Festival carrying memories of the passionate response they received last year. The band expressed their determination to once again get the crowd singing along with some of their signature songs perfectly suited for a late summer night.

Jannabi took the stage at the 2026 Asia Top Artist Festival (ATA Festival), held on Sept. 20 at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul.

Meeting with reporters ahead of their performance, Jannabi said, "We came to the ATA Festival last year as well, and the audience was truly incredible, so it really stayed with us. That's why we came back again this year." They added, "We've been waiting backstage, and the cheers seem even louder than last year. We're really looking forward to it."

Jannabi's performance at last year's ATA Festival received an explosive response from the crowd. Choi Jung-hoon recalled, "It was so intense that I remember thinking it was the kind of performance you only get a few times a year. The show was so much fun that I even remember picking up one of the monitors at the front of the stage and running around with it."

Jannabi are known for getting even audiences seeing them for the first time at festivals to naturally jump and sing along. Speaking about that ability, Choi Jung-hoon said, "Our shows are fun because the audience comes ready for it. All we think about is how we can have fun with them on top of that. I think that's how the synergy happens."

The band also shared how it felt to return to Korea's festival circuit after completing their first Asia tour this year. "We're home. It feels like we've returned to our hometown," the members said.

Jannabi chose "A Thought on an Autumn Night" as the song they were most looking forward to hearing the audience sing along to that day. "It's exactly the right season for this song," the members said before singing a line themselves, adding to the atmosphere of the late-summer night.

Asked what festivals mean to Jannabi, the members answered, "Another life." Just before taking the stage, they expressed their determination for the night, saying, "Today, just like last year, we're going to make history once again."

Meanwhile, hosted by Hankyung Media Group including TenAsia and Hankyung.com, 'ATA Festival' is a comprehensive K-culture festival spanning music, K-food, K-beauty, and K-fashion, held over two days from Sept. 19 to 20.

Following day one, which featured Hi-Fi Un!corn, Kim Su-young, Lee Oh-wook, Dynamic Duo, Car, the garden, LUCY, &TEAM, and CNBLUE—the second-day lineup concluded the festival on a high note with Dragon Pony, Choi Ye-na, Choi Hyun-wook, Daybreak, Urban Zakapa, ALPHADRIVE ONE, Lee Mu-jin, KickFlip, Jannabi, and ATEEZ.
