NMIXX Returns With Its First-Ever Unit Tracks

K-pop girl group NMIXX will release its sixth EP, "Strange Muse," on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. KST. The album arrives about five months after the group's previous EP, "Heavy Serenade."

NMIXX posted the teaser schedule on its official social media accounts on Sept. 22. A motion poster is due on Sept. 23, followed by an album trailer on Sept. 28 and concept photos on Sept. 29 and 30. The group will then release an a cappella highlight medley on Oct. 11, an original highlight medley on Oct. 15 and a music video teaser on Oct. 18.

NMIXX will hold a countdown livestream on release day. The EP and the music video for its title track, "Birthday Wish," will arrive at 6 p.m. KST.

The six-track EP also includes "Kerosene," "RudE TaLK" and three unit songs: "Sing to the Moon" by Lily and Haewon, "Hot 'n Unbothered" by Sullyoon and Bae, and "WHIP" by Jiwoo and Kyujin. All six members took part in work on the unit songs, the first of their kind since NMIXX's debut. The pairings offer a chance to see how the members work together in smaller groups.

With nearly a month of teasers leading up to its release, "Strange Muse" is shaping up to be one of the fall's closely watched girl group comebacks. Preorders for the album opened on Sept. 21.
