Ahn Hyo-seop Returns as a Genius Chef in JTBC's New Drama 'Final Table'

Actor Ahn Hyo-seop is stepping back into the spotlight with a lot on his plate. His previous drama, "Sold Out on You," peaked in the 3% viewership range. Now he returns in JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Final Table," which arrives as the network itself is involved in a reported sale process.

JTBC released the main poster for "Final Table" on Monday, Sept. 28, featuring Ahn Hyo-seop front and center. The series follows Korean chefs from around the world who gather to compete in a fictional cooking competition called "The Table: K Chef 2026."

Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kang Han, a genius chef soughted after by top restaurants across the globe. Little is known about Kang Han's family or upbringing. A chance incident leads him to take over as head chef of Familia, a restaurant on the verge of closing. From there, he enters "The Table: K Chef 2026," a survival competition aimed at crowning the world's best Korean chef.

The poster shows Kang Han standing on the competition floor. He appears relaxed with his arms crossed, under the tagline "Complete the most perfect dish." Behind him, other chefs move quickly at their stations, hinting at the intensity of the competition.

Drawing on techniques he picked up around the world and a natural instinct for cooking, Kang Han is set to take on the competition's round-by-round missions. He approaches each dish in a way that sets him apart from the other contestants, putting him at the center of the survival show.

"Final Table" premieres Oct. 24 at 10:40 p.m. KST on JTBC and will stream worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
