K-pop girl group MEOVV will return with the new single "GO HARD" on Oct. 12, roughly four months after its previous release.

THEBLACKLABEL announced the comeback on Oct. 1 through teaser content posted on its official social media accounts. The single follows MEOVV's second EP, "BITE NOW," released in June.

In the group teaser, the members pair sporty tops with jackets and boots for a relaxed look. The single's cover features a chain pulled taut as if about to snap, creating a sense of tension.

During its "BITE NOW" promotions, MEOVV drew attention with the title track "DDI RO RI" and the B-side "Hit 'Em." "DDI RO RI," which samples Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D minor," sparked mixed reactions to its familiar chorus hook, prompting users to upload versions with the "ddi ro ri" section removed. The edits then drew responses that the song felt incomplete without it, while versions incorporating other classical melodies added to the online buzz.

"Hit 'Em" attracted attention for its demanding choreography by Sienna Lalau. Its powerful movements set to a driving beat prompted comparisons to a workout. MEOVV followed up with an audio version that repeats the dance break 20 times and a separate video of members doing abdominal exercises to the song.

With "GO HARD," MEOVV is set to introduce new music and performances, with attention on whether the single can sustain the buzz from its previous release.

"GO HARD" will be available on major streaming platforms on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. KST.
