KATSEYE Gives 'Hootie Frutti' a Baile Funk Remix

KATSEYE has released a new remix of "Hootie Frutti," pushing the hit single further into its Brazilian influences.

"Hootie Frutti (feat. MC Gw & Clementaum) [PEDRO SAMPAIO Remix]" arrived Oct. 2, with Brazilian DJ and producer Pedro Sampaio reworking the track around heavier drums, bass and the rhythms of baile funk.

Brazilian funk artist MC Gw and DJ-producer Clementaum also feature on the remix, adding new vocals to a track that already incorporated Portuguese and Brazilian-inspired elements in its original version.

"Hootie Frutti," from KATSEYE's third EP "WILD," has become one of the group's biggest chart hits. The song peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has remained on the chart for five consecutive weeks. It also debuted at No. 16 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart.

Its music video recently surpassed 100 million YouTube views in 40 days, becoming KATSEYE's fastest video to reach the milestone.

KATSEYE will next perform at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on Oct. 18.
