ENHYPEN's JAY Shows Off Impressive Cooking Skills

K-pop group ENHYPEN member JAY earned praise for his cooking skills from chef Jung Ji-sun.

Jung appeared in the second episode of JAY's solo variety show, "Shh, the Secret Chef," released on ENHYPEN's official YouTube channel on Oct. 1. JAY prepared Chinese dishes by following her instructions from behind a partition.

After inspecting the ingredients on the counter, JAY guessed that he would be making Chinese food. When he heard a greeting in Chinese, he realized that the person on the other side of the partition was Jung Ji-sun.

Once cooking began, JAY spent some time concentrating on cutting the ingredients into thin strips. Unable to see each other, he asked follow-up questions whenever the instructions were unclear and checked the cooking methods as he worked. Jung praised his skills after listening to the sound of his knife work. When JAY said, "I've always dreamed of cooking with a wok," she invited him to learn, saying, "Come to my restaurant if you want to learn."

JAY was nervous as he revealed his finished dishes, but wrapped up the challenge with praise from Jung. After tasting his food, she said, "You have a natural touch for cooking. I can't find any fault with it. I think you'd do well even with a more difficult dish next time."

"Shh, the Secret Chef" is a cooking show in which JAY prepares dishes by following instructions from a chef on the other side of a partition. New episodes are released every Thursday at 9 p.m. on ENHYPEN's official YouTube channel.
