TVING Drama 'The Ordinary Jackpot' Hits Series High as Final Episodes Approach
TVING's workplace drama "The Ordinary Jackpot" is heading into its final stretch with a high-stakes negotiation at the center of the story. The show's team released new stills on Monday featuring Gong Eun-tae (played by Lee Joon-hyuk), Yang Jun-ho (Seo Hyun-woo), Jung Seon-hyuk (Oh Dae-hwan), Martina (Yoon Se-ah), and the members of Sales Team 5.
The images hint at a deal that could determine the fate of Hongseong, along with shifting dynamics among the main characters as the series winds down.
In the new stills, Gong Eun-tae and Yang Jun-ho sit across from Martina at the negotiation table. Gong fidgets with his hands, while Yang stares back with a hard expression. Martina, by contrast, looks relaxed and in control.
The mood between Gong Eun-tae and Jung Seon-hyuk has also changed. The two, who had clashed over Hongseong, now face each other with softer expressions, raising questions about how their conflict will finally be resolved.
Sales Team 5 appears to be heading to work as a group. Gong Eun-tae, who used to show up at the office alone in the early hours, is now joined by Yang Jun-ho, Park Gi-tae (Hong Jin-gi), Lee Ji-hye (Ha Yul-ri), and Jang Hyang-eun (Baek Ye-in).
The show is gaining momentum at the right time. Episodes 7 and 8, aired back-to-back on tvN on Sunday, drew ratings of 3.1 percent and 5.9 percent, respectively, according to Nielsen Korea's nationwide figures. Episode 8 marked a new series high. The drama has also held the top spot in both weekday and weekend subscriber contribution on TVING for a fourth straight week.
Episodes 9 and 10 of "The Ordinary Jackpot" will drop early on TVING on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. KST. The series airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 9 p.m. KST.
