FLARE U Explores First Love in Second Mini Album "LOVEHOOD"
FLARE U is preparing for its first comeback just five months after debut, with second mini album "LOVEHOOD" exploring a new chapter in the duo's coming-of-age story.
The group, consisting of Chuei Li Yu and Kang Woojin, will release the six-track project on October 14 at 6 p.m. KST, alongside the music video for title track "Bloom."
The comeback follows their May debut with "YOUTH ERROR", which introduced the two artists as young people learning to navigate uncertainty while finding strength in one another.
Both members previously appeared on Mnet's 'Boys II Planet' before forming the duo and releasing their first mini album.
While "YOUTH ERROR" focused on two individuals coming together as a team, "LOVEHOOD" shifts toward the emotions of experiencing love for the first time.
The album follows the pair as they begin to understand their feelings, moving through excitement, uncertainty and the changes that come with growing closer to someone.
Leading the project is "Bloom," a synth-pop track combining melodic vocals with warm, retro-inspired production.
The remaining five tracks are "Hundred Nights," "False Alarm," "Madly in Love," "Window View" and "Never Ever." Together, the songs explore different stages of falling in love, expanding on the youthful sound introduced through the duo's debut release.
The comeback will also introduce a new performance for "Bloom," with FLARE U aiming to present a more developed stage dynamic and choreography centered on the emotions of the song.
Fans will get their first opportunity to see the new track performed live before the album officially arrives. FLARE U will hold a special busking performance at Everland's Rose Garden on October 14 at 5 p.m. KST, one hour before the album's release.
The music video for "Bloom" will be unveiled alongside "LOVEHOOD" at 6 p.m. KST, marking the beginning of the duo's first comeback promotions.
