Inside ZEROBASEONE's Second Act: From Solo Releases to a New Unit

K-pop boy group ZEROBASEONE is entering its second chapter as a five-member act, combining group activities with solo music, acting, broadcasting and unit projects.

In February, WAKEONE announced that Sung Han Bin, Kim Ji Woong, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae Rae and Park Gun Wook had agreed to continue activities as ZEROBASEONE. The decision followed discussions involving the members and their respective agencies.

Sung Han Bin will release his first solo album on October 12. Having hosted Mnet's "Street World Fighter : Directors' War" and other programs, he is now preparing to introduce his own music through a solo release.

Kim Ji Woong has been releasing solo singles monthly and has also confirmed his appearance in the film "Siren," a working title. His upcoming projects span both music and acting.

Seok Matthew connects with fans through his personal YouTube channel, "Hey Bye Thew," which features a range of content. He also serves as an ambassador for Visit Seoul, the Seoul Tourism Organization's tourism brand.

Kim Tae Rae has continued his vocal work through soundtrack recordings and a project celebrating rock band Sanulrim's 50th debut anniversary. He also hosts the music podcast "Suseok Research Society" and serves as a DJ on MBC FM4U's "ZEROBASEONE's Close Friends," both translated titles.

Park Gun Wook appears weekly as a host of Mnet's "M Countdown." He also contributed his first self-written song, "Customize," to ZEROBASEONE's sixth EP, "Ascend-," expanding his role in the group's music.

Seok Matthew and Park Gun Wook have formed ZEROBASEONE's first unit, EMP. Following their first mixtape in September, the duo will release a digital single in November. Both members are directly involved in writing lyrics, composing and producing the unit's music.

With Sung Han Bin's solo debut set for October and EMP's next release scheduled for November, ZEROBASEONE's second chapter is taking shape through group, solo and unit activities.
