KickFlip Hits First-Week Sales High, Sets New Record With Every Album
K-pop group KickFlip has broken its own first-week sales record with its latest mini album.
JYP Entertainment said on Oct. 13 that "KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1," released on Oct. 6, sold 532,434 copies during its first seven days of release, according to Hanteo Chart.
KickFlip has set a new personal best in first-week sales with each album, beginning with its debut release, "Flip it, Kick it!" The streak continued with "Kick Out, Flip Now!," "My First Flip" and "My First Kick."
The latest album also topped Hanteo's weekly album chart for Oct. 5–11 and Circle Chart's weekly retail album chart for Oct. 4–10.
"KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1" contains eight tracks, with members contributing to every song. Its two title tracks are "Puzzle Piece" and "Kick Off The Wall (Feat. iann dior)." Other tracks include "0 (Young)," "Rockin'," "hate blueberry," "Drop In," "Waste It All With You" and a version of "Kick Off The Wall" without the featured artist.
This is KickFlip's first release with two title tracks. "Puzzle Piece" embraces the present despite its imperfections, while "Kick Off The Wall" expresses the determination to overcome obstacles and move forward. The songs form a question-and-answer structure that connects the album's themes.
KickFlip is performing both title tracks on music shows and appearing on radio and YouTube programs. The group began promotions with a comeback stage on Mnet's M2 on release day, followed by appearances across music, talk, dance and variety content.
