IVE's "Looks Can Kill" Drops Today: "Everyone Can Be a Hero"

K-pop girl group IVE will pre-release "Looks Can Kill," the title track from its upcoming EP of the same name, on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. KST.

According to Starship Entertainment, the EP "Looks Can Kill" is scheduled for release on Oct. 26.

The new album builds on the "girl fantasy" concept IVE has developed through its previous releases while introducing a new persona known as the "girl hero." The concept portrays the members as heroes whose presence alone can make a powerful impact, extending the group's long-running emphasis on self-confidence.

The title track delivers the message that anyone can be the main character and hero of their own life. Through the song, IVE emphasizes taking control of one's own life and remaining confident regardless of how others perceive them.

"Looks Can Kill" is an electronic dance-pop track driven by heavy bass, dynamic drums and layered electronic sounds. Seo Ji-eum, rapper Lil Cherry and IVE member Rei contributed to the lyrics.

Ahead of the pre-release, IVE shared "HERO ON SET" concept photos on Nov. 18. The six members appeared in outfits reflecting their respective hero colors, offering a first look at the visual concept of the upcoming album.
