RIIZE Trades Powerful Choreography for Soft Vocals on 'Insomnia'
RIIZE is preparing to show a softer side with its upcoming single "Insomnia," set for release on Oct. 26.
The new track marks a shift toward acoustic pop for the six-member group, placing greater emphasis on vocals rather than the choreography-driven performances that have defined many of its previous releases.
"Insomnia" explores the emotions that surface during sleepless nights, combining a quiet, melancholic atmosphere with restrained yet expressive singing.
The lyrics, written by Kim Eana, describe how thoughts of someone become increasingly vivid as the night goes on, bringing out feelings that are difficult to put aside.
The release follows RIIZE's second EP, which arrived in June with the title track "Do Your Dance." The album became the group's fourth million-selling release, continuing its streak of strong physical album sales.
While "Do Your Dance" highlighted the group's energetic performance style, "Insomnia" will take a more understated approach, focusing on the members' individual voices and harmonies.
"Insomnia" will be released Oct. 26 at midnight KST on major streaming platforms.
