Kang Daniel Surprises Fans With New Single "Blue" During Military Service

Singer Kang Daniel is releasing a previously unreleased track recorded before his military enlistment. His new single, "Blue," arrives on Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. KST.

According to his agency, ARA, the song was recorded last year before Kang enlisted in the military on Feb. 9, 2026. The track was prepared in advance for release during his military service.

"Blue" is an R&B track about two people who are drawn to each other but remain uncertain about where their relationship is headed. The song captures the excitement and hesitation of recognizing their mutual attraction without knowing how to move forward.

Kang Daniel contributed to both the lyrics and composition, while BIBLEIN and JUNBEOM also participated in composing and arranging the track.

An illustrated lyric video will be released alongside the single. The video uses illustrations to reflect the song's atmosphere and convey the emotions expressed in its lyrics.

"This single was a song we put special care into preparing for release after his enlistment," an ARA representative said. "We hope it will be another welcome gift for fans who have been waiting for Kang Daniel's music."
