TWS Captures Youth and Emotion in 'Call My Name' Teaser
K-pop boy group TWS has offered a glimpse of youthful emotions in the first music video teaser for its upcoming title track, "Call My Name" (Nae Ireumeul Bulleojwo).
The teaser was released on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel and the group's official social media accounts on Oct. 28. The song is the title track of TWS's second single album, "TO US."
The six-member group consists of Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon and Kyungmin.
The video opens with a question on screen: "What makes you risk it all just to feel alive?"
From there, the members dance freely, embrace one another and share moments together. Other scenes show them gazing through a rain-streaked window or catching their breath. The mood shifts as all six members break into a sprint, capturing a change in their emotions.
The teaser also offers a preview of the new song. Piano melodies from jazz pianist Yun Seokcheol blend with a fast-paced drum-and-bass rhythm, building toward an emotional chorus. A brief glimpse of the choreography, featuring expressive hand movements, is also shown.
"Call My Name" explores the courage that comes from having someone who believes in you. Members Youngjae, Shinyu and Dohoon participated in writing the lyrics. One line reflects their feelings toward the group's fandom, known as 42 (pronounced "sai"): "I put everything on the line on stage, on stage / I throw myself in without fear."
"TO US" features three songs. "WE UP" expresses the group's ambition to reach bigger stages, while the title track responds to the trust fans have placed in the members. The final track, "heavy," offers comfort to those feeling worn down by life's pressures.
Drawing on the members' own thoughts and experiences, the single aims to offer courage and comfort to young listeners.
TWS will release a second music video teaser for "Call My Name" on Oct. 30. The full single and the title track's music video will be released on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. KST.
