T.O.P Faces Backlash After Visiting Birthday Cafe With Girlfriend Nana

Former BIGBANG member T.O.P has sparked debate among fans after showing up at a birthday cafe with his girlfriend, singer and actress Nana, just one day after apologizing to longtime supporters.

On Nov. 2, a cafe owner in Seoul's Gangnam district posted a video of the couple visiting a fan-organized event ahead of T.O.P's 39th birthday on Nov. 4.

The video shows T.O.P smiling as he looks around the decorations prepared by fans. Nana, wearing a gray cap and face mask, is seen standing nearby and filming him with her phone.

The visit comes about a month after the couple confirmed their relationship in October. The two reportedly met while filming a music video and began dating in June.

But not everyone was pleased with the visit. On Nov. 1, T.O.P had apologized to fans following the closure of CHOIDOT, a fan site that had supported him for nearly 20 years. The site's operators had previously expressed frustration over how T.O.P and his agency treated longtime supporters.

Some fans appreciated that T.O.P took the time to visit the cafe, while others felt bringing his girlfriend to a fan-organized event was inappropriate, particularly so soon after his apology.
