Kim Woo-bin, Seo Eun-soo Clash Over Baseball in tvN's 'Gift'

Actors Kim Woo-bin and Seo Eun-soo are set to face off over two very different views of baseball in tvN's upcoming drama "Gift." The cable network released new stills of the pair in character on Nov. 4.

"Gift" is tvN's new weekend drama, airing Saturdays and Sundays. It follows a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains a special ability after an accident. He then takes over as manager of a high school baseball team ranked last in the country. The series is based on the webtoon of the same name, which is currently running on Kakao Webtoon.

Kim Woo-bin plays Jung Min-yong, a coach who can now spot a player's talent and potential at a glance. Jung once cared more about process and growth than about wins and losses. After gaining his new power, he starts judging the team by talent.

Seo plays Yoon Seo-jin, the head of the Deokcheon High School baseball team. Yoon fights to save the team, which is at risk of being shut down. She leads the players because she believes in their potential and what they can achieve through hard work.

The stills shows how each character looks after the team in their own way. Jung, dressed in a red baseball jacket, sits in the dugout with a game plan sheet in hand, his eyes fixed on the field. Yoon stands with her arms crossed, looking straight ahead . In another shot, she stands behind the players as they train, with a serious expression.

The two have different ideas about how to run the team but their love for baseball is the same. With Jung focused on natural talent and Yoon putting her faith in hard work, the drama sets up a clash that could change everything for the Deokcheon High School team.

"Gift" premieres on Dec. 5 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
