Ahead of their November 10 comeback, LNGSHOT have taken an unconventional approach to promotion, turning an ordinary fruit truck into a moving advertisement for their upcoming title track, "Bananas."

While K-POP comeback promotions typically involve concept photos, music video teasers and carefully coordinated social media campaigns, LNGSHOT have decided to take their upcoming release directly to the streets of Seoul.

On Nov. 4, LNGSHOT shared a series of Instagram Stories announcing the campaign with playful messages, including "Starting today, we're officially selling bananas," "We're going around Seoul" and "1110% guaranteed honey bananas (sweet like honey)."

The unusual wording was no coincidence. The number 1110 references November 10, the release date of the group's upcoming EP "S.W.I.S.H." and its title track "Bananas." Even the advertised price of 1,110 won for a bunch of bananas follows the same numerical theme, turning the comeback date into a recurring detail throughout the campaign.

The truck, which has reportedly been spotted around Seoul's Gangnam district, features several humorous promotional slogans that play on the group's upcoming release. Among them is a phrase suggesting that people of all ages will fall for bananas, alongside another asking whether listening to "Bananas" will make listeners fall for LNGSHOT.

However, the campaign goes beyond the vehicle's colorful exterior. During a Nov. 4 Weverse Live, member Ohyul revealed that the voices broadcasting from the truck's speakers were recorded by the LNGSHOT members themselves.

Ohyul explained that the group had recreated the familiar announcements commonly heard from neighborhood trucks in South Korea, particularly those advertising the purchase of used refrigerators, computers and other household appliances.

The decision gives the campaign a distinctly local character, borrowing from an everyday aspect of Korean street culture and transforming it into an unexpected form of K-POP promotion. For residents familiar with these neighborhood announcements, the sound of a passing truck advertising a new idol release offers an unusual contrast to the advertisements typically associated with entertainment companies.

Ohyul also addressed fans' confusion surrounding the vehicle after images began circulating online. When one fan questioned whether the banana truck had been generated using artificial intelligence, he reportedly clarified that it was real.

The interactions have helped turn the campaign into something resembling a citywide search, with fans sharing sightings and attempting to locate the truck as it travels through Seoul. Rather than directing audiences toward a fixed promotional installation, LNGSHOT's approach encourages fans to pay attention to their surroundings and participate in the campaign through their own discoveries.

The strategy also demonstrates how physical marketing can generate online engagement without relying exclusively on large-scale installations or expensive advertising spaces. By combining an ordinary street vehicle with recognizable sounds, humorous messaging and direct artist participation, the campaign creates opportunities for fans to capture and circulate content across social media.

The banana truck arrives as LNGSHOT continue preparations for their upcoming EP "S.W.I.S.H.," which stands for "Swag With Integrity Shapes History." The five-track release includes the previously unveiled "Masterpiece," alongside "Bananas," "Wanna Go," "Up & Away" and "Beep Beep."

The group also released the music video teaser for "Bananas" on Nov. 4, offering another preview of the sound and visual direction of their upcoming comeback.

As K-POP companies continue experimenting with ways to capture attention in an increasingly crowded promotional environment, LNGSHOT's banana truck offers an example of how a simple, recognizable concept can be transformed into a memorable campaign.

LNGSHOT's new EP "S.W.I.S.H." will be released on Nov.10 at 6 p.m. KST.
