Yang Ji-won, who performs as Jiwon, has built one of the more quietly durable careers in a generation of Korean pop artists, moving across three distinct group projects — SPICA, UNI.T, and T-ara — over more than a decade in the industry. Her longest-running affiliation is with T-ara, the long-active girl group for which she serves as lead vocalist.
Debut & Formation
Jiwon first came to wider attention as a member of SPICA, the five-member girl group launched under B2M Entertainment. Within the group she held the roles of main dancer, vocalist, and face of the group — a combination that placed her at the center of the act's visual and performance identity. SPICA occupied a distinctive space in the early-to-mid 2010s K-pop landscape, drawing notice for its members' vocal weight at a time when the genre was crowded with lighter pop constructions.
Her second major group project came through UNI.T, the project group assembled from the 2018 idol rebooting competition series *The Unit*. Jiwon participated as a lead vocalist, adding a third performing context to a résumé that had already spanned girl-group pop and competition television.
Group Affiliations
Jiwon's current affiliation is with T-ara, the group that has remained one of the most recognised names from the second generation of K-pop girl groups. She holds the position of lead vocalist within the lineup. Her connection to Stone Music Entertainment runs alongside this chapter of her career.
Beyond singing, Jiwon's listed occupations include acting, reflecting activity outside the purely musical sphere, though the available material does not detail specific projects in that area.

*Note to editors: The narrative brief supplied with this commission contained coverage of an unrelated artist (Choi Siwon, Super Junior). None of that material has been used here. Additional reporting on Jiwon's discography, chart performance, and acting credits would allow this profile to be expanded substantially.*
