Seonghwa (성화)

Seonghwa — known in full as Park Seong-hwa — is a South Korean singer and member of the eight-piece group ATEEZ, one of the most commercially prominent fourth-generation K-pop acts to emerge from KQ Entertainment. Within the group, he is also part of MATZ, an ATEEZ sub-unit in which he takes on rapper duties alongside fellow members.

Role in ATEEZ

ATEEZ debuted in October 2018 and built a global following through a theatrical performance style and a discography that leans heavily into dramatic, high-concept storytelling. Seonghwa has been a consistent presence across the group's releases and touring activity since that debut, contributing to an act that has charted on the Billboard 200 and performed at major international venues.

MATZ Unit

Within ATEEZ's broader creative framework, the MATZ sub-unit carves out a space distinct from the full group's output, with Seonghwa serving as one of its rappers. Sub-units of this kind allow individual members to explore facets of their artistry that the main group's sound does not always foreground, and Seonghwa's participation in MATZ reflects a rap-oriented dimension to his work within the ATEEZ ecosystem.
