ZB1's Park Gun-wook Apologizes Over Fan Sign Event Controversy

ZEROBASEONE member Park Gun-wook has apologized after fans accused him of manipulating a Polaroid giveaway at a recent fan sign event.

Park posted the apology on a fan communication platform on Nov. 5. "I want to put up this post to sincerely apologize for my recent behavior at a fan sign event," he wrote.

At the event, Park ran a draw to hand out Polaroid photos to fans. He was accused of calling out a number that did not match the one he actually picked. Fan videos of the moment spread online, and the backlash grew large enough that he chose to address it directly.

"I should have judged the situation more carefully and acted with more care, but I didn't," Park wrote. "I take it seriously that this caused confusion and hurt to many people. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was confused or hurt because of my shortcomings."

He continued, "I have always treasured the feelings that fans send my way, but I am sorry that I did not show a side of myself worthy of those feelings. I will not take this incident lightly, and I will reflect on it sincerely."

Park also addressed the group's fandom, known as ZEROSE. "I am sorry to all the ZEROSE who cheered for and trusted this album promotion, that I have let you down again," he said. "I also want to say sorry to the ZEROBASEONE members and to the staff working hard alongside us."

He closed by promising to grow from the moment. "Going forward, I will act with more care and reflect with my whole heart so that I can become someone who is not ashamed of the trust ZEROSE place in me. Once again, I am truly sorry."

ZEROBASEONE is currently promoting as a group, and the apology lands during an active album cycle.
