Former LE SSERAFIM Member Kim Garam Signs With New Agency, Begins Acting Career

Former LE SSERAFIM member Kim Garam has signed an exclusive contract with Management KOO, officially beginning her career as an actress.

The agency announced the signing on Tuesday, saying it had closely followed Kim's YouTube activities and was impressed by both her potential as an actress and her dedication to self-improvement.

"We were deeply impressed by Kim Garam's potential as an actress and her sincere attitude," the agency said in a statement. "Her dedication and consistent efforts to grow played a significant role in our decision to sign her."

Management KOO added that Kim has continued to train in acting while also broadening her skills by studying English and Japanese and teaching herself how to play the guitar.

"She devotes most of her time to preparing for her career and improving herself," the agency said. "After extensive discussions, we believe she has strong potential for future growth."

The company also pledged full support for Kim's acting activities, describing her diligence, passion and willingness to keep learning as qualities that will become valuable assets throughout her career.

Kim debuted as a member of LE SSERAFIM in 2022 but departed the group in July of the same year due to a school bullying controversy. Her exclusive contract with the group's agency was subsequently terminated.

Since then, she has focused on her studies and enrolled at university in 2024, majoring in media acting. Earlier this year, she launched a YouTube channel where she has regularly uploaded acting practice videos and other content related to her preparations as an actress.

Meanwhile, Management KOO represents actors Lee Yo-won, Ha Seok-jin and Yoo In-soo.
