Jung Yi-seo Joins 'Notes from the Last Row' After Cha Eun-woo

Actress Jung Yi-seo is joining the Netflix series "Notes from the Last Row."

Notes from the Last Row follows Heo Mun-oh (Choi Min-sik), a failed novelist and Korean literature professor who discovers the genius of Lee Kang (Choi Hyun-wook), a student sitting in the last row of his classroom. As Heo grows obsessed with the boy's writing, the story takes a darker turn.

Jung plays the older sister of Kim Se-yoon (Lee Jin-woo), a college classmate of Lee Kang who appears as a character in his writing. Her role is built around mystery, and her scenes are designed to keep viewers guessing.

Earlier this year, Jung appeared in the Netflix series The WONDERfools alongside Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo. She played Seok Ju-ran, a brainwashing superhuman who can bend anyone to her will. The performance moved between cruelty and quiet sorrow, giving the show one of its most layered villains. That turn raised expectations for what she will bring to "Notes from the Last Row."

Notes from the Last Row premieres Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. KST.
