Jeon So-young and Park Ji-hoon, effortlessly pulls off a 'youth drama'
Rising South Korean actress Jeon So-young is officially saying goodbye to her popular role opposite Park Ji-hoon in the TVING original series The Legend of Kitchen Soldier (originally titled Chwisabyeong Jeonseori Doeda).
On Sunday, Jeon took to her personal Instagram account to share a series of behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the set, alongside a grateful message to the audience: "Thank you for loving The Legend of Kitchen Soldier until now."
The uploaded posts captured Jeon’s bright energy during the show's rigorous filming schedule. In the hit series, she portrayed the girlfriend of Kang Sung-jae, the central protagonist played by Park Ji-hoon. The candid, behind-the-scenes glimpses showcased the duo delivering a convincing, real-couple chemistry that quickly generated significant buzz among global fans online.
The Legend of Kitchen Soldier is a unique military-cooking fantasy drama. The narrative follows a low-ranking army private named Kang Sung-jae, who unexpectedly trades his combat rifle for a kitchen knife and his ammunition belt for an apron, slowly rising through the ranks to transform into a legendary mess hall chef.
Jeon, 24, has been on a fast track to success since launching her acting career. She made her professional debut just last year in the drama series Kick Kick Kick Kick (originally titled Kikkikkikkik), recently celebrating her first anniversary in the entertainment industry. Proving her status as a major industry name to watch, she recently landed her first major leading role in the highly anticipated upcoming Netflix original series Girigo.
