The new tvN weekend drama Spooky in Love (originally titled Osakhan Yeonae), directed by Lee Min-soo and written by Choi Jung-mi, is scheduled to premiere on July 18 at 9:10 p.m. KST. The series follows a billionaire heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who is absolutely terrified of them, seamlessly blending occult elements with classic romantic comedy.

The story centers on Cheon Yeo-ri, played by Park Eun-bin, and prosecutor Ma Kang-wook, played by Yang Se-jong. While a previously released main poster captured the two characters in a quiet, intimate moment together, a newly unveiled motion poster zooms in on a single, pivotal gesture between them, teasing the exact moment their supernatural connection begins.

In the motion poster, Cheon Yeo-ri removes her glove and carefully takes Ma Kang-wook's hand. The moment their skin meets, a loud crash echoes from the sky and an eerie shadow falls across the window, signaling that this is no ordinary romantic bond. While Ma Kang-wook looks visibly startled, Cheon Yeo-ri counters his panic with a warm, deeply familiar smile. A voiceover ties the haunting imagery together, declaring, "The moment our hands touch, a spooky love begins."

Ahead of the premiere, Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong each shared their insights into the unique dynamic between their characters.

"The line, 'You're the first person to ever be like this,' immediately comes to mind," Park Eun-bin said. "I felt that Ma Kang-wook is the type of person to approach others without hesitation. For Cheon Yeo-ri, who has long accepted her lonely, haunted fate, meeting someone who truly recognizes and understands that hidden side of her would naturally pull her in."

Yang Se-jong chose the word "cute" as the defining keyword for the pairing. "In the storyline, Ma Kang-wook keeps following Cheon Yeo-ri around, working through various bizarre situations with her, and ultimately ends up staying right by her side," he explained. "I thought that specific dynamic felt incredibly cute."

The upcoming series is the highly anticipated TV adaptation of the acclaimed 2011 Korean romantic-horror film of the same name, which originally starred Son Ye-jin and Lee Min-ki. The original cinematic release was widely praised for masterfully blending horror tropes and romantic beats into a cohesive tone, and the television remake is already drawing immense industry interest for how Park and Yang will reshape that delicate, genre-bending mix for the small screen.

Spooky in Love premieres July 18 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN.
