Korean actress Kim Si-a has signed an exclusive contract with Varo Entertainment, the agency announced on Thursday. The deal pairs one of South Korea's most closely watched young performers with a powerhouse roster that includes Jin-goo, Byun Woo-seok, Gong Seung-yeon, Lee Yoo-mi, Lee Hong-nae, and Lee Chae-min.

Kim has been a standout name to watch since her childhood debut, building a stellar reputation for steady acting and a commanding screen presence well beyond her years. Welcoming her to the company, Varo Entertainment stated it is "truly glad" to begin working with the actress, noting that she beat a staggering 600-to-1 audition ratio at the very start of her career and has since demonstrated "deep inner acting and the rare power to anchor a scene" despite her young age. The agency pledged to fully support her global career as a "reliable partner" moving forward.

Kim made her professional debut in the acclaimed 2018 film Miss Baek (originally titled Misseubaek), earning her breakout role out of that competitive 600-to-1 audition pool. Her performance drew immediate critical acclaim for its emotional nuance and quiet intensity, earning her the Best Young Actress prize at the 29th Korean Association of Film Critics Golden Cinematography Awards and the Best Actress trophy at the 3rd Sharm El Sheikh Asian Film Festival.

Since then, she has worked steadily across major film and streaming titles. Her extensive credits include the indie film The House of Us, alongside high-profile Netflix originals such as Kill Boksoon, Kingdom: Ashin of the North, Seasons 2 and 3 of Sweet Home, and Gyeongseong Creature. This diverse range of roles has firmly positioned her as one of the most promising actresses of her generation, recognized for her consistent ability to hold her own opposite veteran industry co-stars.

Her next major project is the upcoming feature film Summer's Camera (Yeoreumui Kamera), which is set to hit theaters this June. The story follows a teenage girl named Yeoreum who picks up her late father Ji-hoon's vintage camera to take photos of Yeon-woo, a classmate she has fallen for at first sight. Through the lens of the camera, she unexpectedly confronts her father's own high school memories. Kim plays the titular lead role of Yeoreum, carrying the film's heartwarming coming-of-age arc and first-love narrative.

Varo Entertainment operates as a full-service entertainment company, covering comprehensive artist management as well as film and television drama production. For Kim, the move marks the official start of a new chapter as she seamlessly transitions from an acclaimed child actress into a leading young performer, anchored by a major feature film release already lined up for the summer season.
