Lee Jae-wook's 'Doctor on the Edge' Holds 5% Ratings for Third Straight Week
ENA's hit Monday-Tuesday medical melodrama "Doctor on the Edge" is holding remarkably steady, locking in solid viewership ratings in the 5 percent range for three consecutive weeks.
To celebrate the show's ongoing chart success, the production team released a fresh batch of candid, behind-the-scenes photos featuring the acclaimed main cast: Lee Jae-wook, Shin Ye-eun, Hong Min-gi, Lee Soo-kyung, and Kim Yoon-woo.
One prominent image captures leading man Lee Jae-wook completely locked into a playback monitor between takes. The actor has earned praise for meticulously crafting his performance scene by scene, tracing even the most subtle, microscopic shifts in his character's emotional trajectory. Meanwhile, co-star Shin Ye-eun is seen in a much lighter mood on set, flashing a bright smile that highlights her role as the primary energy-booster for the hardworking crew.
The newly unveiled stills also lean heavily into the blossoming on-screen romance between Lee's character, Do Ji-eui, and Shin's character, Yuk Ha-ri. For much of the series, Do Ji-eui had been actively pushing Yuk Ha-ri’s warmth away, terrified that she would uncover the deep psychological wounds he spent years concealing.
However, he ultimately chooses to trust her completely, finding the courage to confront his deep-seated fears. A quiet, intimate moment captured in the photos—where the two characters share a single pair of wired earbuds—signals just how close their emotional worlds have become.
The subsequent kiss scene, marking the exact point where both characters finally accept their true feelings, landed with massive emotional weight for viewers. The tender, affectionate gazes captured in these new behind-the-scenes cuts bring that pivotal milestone back into sharp focus. With the star-crossed couple now suddenly separated by an unexpected, high-stakes plot twist, intense viewer attention is turning to where their romance will head next.
"Doctor on the Edge" continues to capture audiences every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST on ENA.
