Lee Jae-wook, Shin Ye-eun's Romance Cracks in 'Doctor on the Edge' Episode 7
ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Doctor on the Edge' is heading into its seventh episode with its central romance on the brink.
The production team released new stills on Monday showing Do Ji-ui (played by Lee Jae-wook) and Yuk Ha-ri (played by Shin Ye-eun) caught in a tense, uneasy moment ahead of the episode's broadcast.
The shift comes after a rough turn in the previous episode. Just as the two settled into a sweet new romance, a complication pulled them apart. Do Ji-ui chose to respect Oh Mi-ja's (played by Gil Hae-yeon) decision, but Yuk Ha-ri saw it differently. When she asked, "Can't you just be my boyfriend instead of a doctor?" Do Ji-ui apologized. Hurt, Yuk Ha-ri turned her back on him. The episode ended on a quiet rupture between the two, hinting that a breakup could be near.
The new stills push the mood even darker. The photos show the aftermath of an accident on Pyeondong Island, with the local clinic's medical team rushing through heavy wind and rain to reach the scene. Their stunned expressions suggest something serious has happened. Yuk Ha-ri is shown setting up a screen at the site, her face heavy with sadness. The images raise the question of what exactly took place, and how deeply it will shake the island's residents.
"In episode 7, airing tonight, the characters' emotions around Oh Mi-ja's decision become tangled and complicated," the production team said. "Do Ji-ui is caught in a deep dilemma between his calling as a doctor and his love for Yuk Ha-ri. Please watch closely to see how both of them change emotionally."
'Doctor on the Edge' airs episode 7 on Monday at 10 p.m. KST on ENA.
