Netflix's "Teach You a Lesson" Tops Global Non-English Chart for Third Week
Netflix's Korean drama "Teach You a Lesson" is holding its ground at the top of the global charts three weeks after its release. The series remains at No. 1 on Netflix's Global Top 10 Non-English TV list, signaling steady viewership across regions from South Korea and Southeast Asia to other international markets.
The show follows the fictional Office for the Protection of Teachers' Rights, a government body tasked with restoring order to a broken education system. The cast is led by Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo, and Pyo Ji-hoon.
In its third week, "Teach You a Lesson" recorded 11.8 million views, a figure Netflix calculates by dividing total watch time by the season's runtime, along with 126.2 million hours viewed. That was enough to keep it at No. 1 on the global non-English TV chart. The series also ranked first in 19 countries, including South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia, and appeared on the Top 10 list in 85 countries in total.
"Teach You a Lesson" has stayed at No. 1 on Netflix's daily Top 10 TV ranking in South Korea since its premiere. Globally, it landed at the top of the non-English TV chart in its first week and has held that position for three consecutive weeks.
Buzz metrics inside South Korea reflect the same momentum. In its second week, the show ranked No. 1 on Good Data Corporation's FUNdex chart, which tracks combined TV and OTT drama popularity. By week three, both the series and its main cast were still among the top performers.
Set inside the fictional Office for the Protection of Teachers' Rights, "Teach You a Lesson" digs into the everyday conflicts playing out in Korean classrooms. Its mix of real-world subject matter and sharply drawn characters has helped fuel its appeal at home and abroad.
"Teach You a Lesson" is now streaming on Netflix.
