BTS's Jungkook Tops Taylor Swift, Sits Behind Only Messi and Ronaldo on TikTok

BTS's Jungkook has become the first solo artist in the world to cross 400 billion cumulative views on a personal hashtag on the short-form platform TikTok. His #jungkook tag now passes a milestone that even global solo stars like Taylor Swift have yet to reach.

Among individuals in any field, Jungkook now ranks third worldwide on the platform, behind soccer stars Lionel Messi (693 billion views) and Cristiano Ronaldo (574 billion views). Earlier, the number of TikTok posts tied to his name also passed 40 million.

His personal TikTok account has topped 31.6 million followers. He has uploaded 33 videos in total. Six of them have crossed 100 million views, and 27 have crossed 50 million. His most-watched post is a clip dancing to "Yeah!" with R&B singer Usher, which has reached about 210 million views.

The account picked up its first million followers in 2 hours and 36 minutes after launch. Within 12 hours and 46 minutes, it had pulled in 3.4 million, breaking the previous one-day record of 3.3 million set by Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

Jungkook has also been the most-searched male K-POP idol on YouTube for five years in a row. On Google, he has held the No. 1 spot in K-POP idol search volume for more than five years.
