SEVENTEEN's New Unit to Pair Jeonghan and Joshua This October

SEVENTEEN will expand its lineup of subunits this fall with a new duo featuring Jeonghan and Joshua.

PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed to K-POPIT on July 6 that the two members are preparing to debut as SEVENTEEN’s newest unit, with an album slated for release in October. The project will mark the group’s seventh official subunit. While Jeonghan previously promoted as part of Jeonghan X Wonwoo, the upcoming release will be Joshua's first unit activity since debut.

The pairing continues SEVENTEEN's long-running tradition of smaller-unit promotions alongside its hip-hop, vocal and performance teams. Previous units have included BSS (Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi), Jeonghan X Wonwoo, Hoshi X Woozi, S.Coups X Mingyu, DK X Seungkwan and V8 (The8 and Vernon), each showing different musical styles and member chemistry.

The announcement also comes shortly after Jeonghan's return from military service. He completed his 21-month alternative service on June 25, becoming the first SEVENTEEN member to finish his mandatory military duty.
