Yeom Hye-ran Calls IU 'My Daughter' at Blue Dragon Series Awards Handprinting Event

Actress Yeom Hye-ran had warm words for IU, the K-pop star and actress who once played her daughter on screen.

The two attended the handprinting event for the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards on Tuesday at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul. Yeom won Best Supporting Actress in the drama category at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards for her role in "When Life Gives You Tangerines," where she played IU's mother.

"I watched '21st Century Grand Prince's Consort,' which IU stars in," Yeom said. "I thought, 'How can she pull off a role like that so well?' I felt proud, and it felt like an honor to have acted alongside her."

She added, "She's so lovely and so talented that I wanted to brag about her like she was my own daughter."
