RESCENE's "LOVE ATTACK" has reached No. 1 on Melon's Top 100 nearly two years after its release, completing one of K-POP's most unlikely chart reversals.

Released in August 2024 as the title track of the group's first EP "SCENEDROME," the song found new momentum after member Woni went viral on YouTube with comedy videos featuring a gyaru-inspired persona and regional dialect. The online buzz led more listeners to discover RESCENE's music, helping "LOVE ATTACK" steadily climb the charts before eventually reaching the top.

The group's recent rise wasn't limited to one song. As of 10 p.m. on July 8, "Pretty Girl," RESCENE's remake single released a day earlier, ranked No. 6 on Melon, while "Deja Vu" and "Runaway" also remained inside the Top 100. The group had four songs on the chart simultaneously.

Shortly after the rankings were updated, the members surprised fans with a surprise livestream. They explained that they had been asleep when they heard the news and rushed to greet fans without taking time to get ready.

"We didn't think we'd be saying hello wearing hats like this," they said with a laugh. "We heard we'd gone No. 1, so we just came straight here."

The mood quickly turned emotional as several members fought back tears while thanking their fandom, REMINE. "This is all thanks to REMINE," they said. "It feels like a dream. We still can't believe it."

Clips from the livestream quickly circulated online, with fans saying the group's unfiltered reaction made the moment even more meaningful after years of steady promotions. Many also described the achievement as a rare breakthrough for a girl group from a smaller agency.

RESCENE will perform "Pretty Girl" for the first time on Mnet's M Countdown on July 9 as the group looks to build on the success of "LOVE ATTACK."
