"I Want to Become More Honest With Myself"...TXT's Yeonjun Discusses "NO LABELS: PART 02"

TXT's Yeonjun is set to release his second solo EP, "NO LABELS: PART 02," on July 10 at 1 p.m. KST, following a release party in Seoul where he previewed tracks from the album for fans.

Held on July 9 at Layer Studio 11 in Mapo-gu, Seoul, the event featured the first live performances of title track "Ice Cream" alongside B-sides "Vanilla" and "Long Way Long Ride." Yeonjun arrived at the venue aboard an ice cream truck, while fans joined in singing the chorus of "Ice Cream," which had previously been teased through promotional content. Fellow TXT members also made a surprise appearance during the event to show their support for their fellow member.

The six-track EP continues the concept introduced in "NO LABELS: PART 01," with Yeonjun participating in the choreography for "Ice Cream" and receiving lyric credits on "Baby Wassup?" and "Long Way Long Ride."

Speaking about the album, Yeonjun described "Ice Cream" as the song that best represents him saying, "just like "Talk to You" from my previous album left a strong impression, I thought a lot about what should be the title track this time."

“After recording it, I felt choosing "Ice Cream" was absolutely the right decision. It's the song that best reflects my own color. I think it shows both my exterior and my inner self," Yeonjun continues.

On contributing to the choreography, he added that he wanted to create a performance that was "cool but easy to understand," while avoiding predictable movements.

Yeonjun also reflected on writing lyrics for two tracks on the album. While "Baby Wassup?" came naturally by imagining how he would approach someone he liked, he said "Long Way Long Ride" was inspired by difficult emotions he was experiencing at the time.

"I'm used to hiding my feelings, so being completely honest wasn't easy at first. I'm happy that I could share my own thoughts through this album."

Looking ahead to the promotion cycle, Yeonjun said his goal is personal growth rather than achieving a specific milestone stating, "rather than setting a big goal, I hope I can take one more step forward. Through this album, I want to become more honest with myself and become more like myself."

"NO LABELS: PART 02" will be released on all major streaming platforms on July 10 at 1 p.m KST.
