Song Kang, Lee Jun-young Star in tvN Music Drama 'FourHands,' Premiering Aug. 29
Actor Song Kang is returning to television for the first time since completing his military service, marking his small-screen comeback in about three years.
tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "FourHands" premieres August 29. Set at an arts high school for gifted young musicians, the series follows a group of students navigating friendship, romance, rivalry, and growth.
Song Kang plays pianist Kang Bi-o, while Lee Jun-young takes on the role of Choi Jeong-yo. The two characters become bound together as if by fate, and a newly released duo poster offers a first look at their on-screen chemistry.
In the poster, Kang Bi-o and Choi Jeong-yo sit side by side at a single piano on a darkened stage, performing four hands, the piano technique in which two players share one instrument. Their eyes are closed as they play, creating a world only they can enter and hinting at a deep connection between the two characters.
The styling adds to the effect. One is dressed in black, the other in white, a visual contrast that captures the different personalities of the two pianists and builds anticipation for their performances in the drama.
The tagline, "One piano, two geniuses," signals more than partnership. It also points to the competition between two young musicians reaching for the same peak. Through the duo poster, "FourHands" previews a story built on collaboration, rivalry, friendship, and growth.
Attention around the project is heightened by its timing for both leads. It is Song Kang's first work since his military discharge in October of last year, and the final project for Lee Jun-young before his own enlistment on the 21st. Long recognized as one of the industry's most photogenic actors, Song Kang returns to television for the first time in about three years, since SBS's "My Demon" in 2023.
"FourHands" premieres August 29 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
