RESCENE Earns First Music Show Win With 'Pretty Girl'

RESCENE claimed its first music show trophy since its debut, winning first place on SBS M's "The Show" with its remake single "Pretty Girl."

The victory came nearly two years after the group's debut. After performing the upbeat track, the five members were announced as the winner and were visibly emotional, clasping their hands together before the results and breaking into tears once their name was called.

"We'll continue to do our best and work even harder," the members said during their acceptance speech as they thanked fans, known as Remine, for helping them reach the milestone.

The win quickly drew widespread attention online. Videos of the members crying during their speech, bowing deeply to fans after the encore stage and embracing one another spread across X, where "RESCENE" and related keywords climbed the platform's real-time trending rankings in Korea. The moment also generated thousands of congratulatory posts from fans and casual listeners alike.

Many fans called the victory a "miracle for a small-agency group," saying the award felt especially meaningful after the group's steady climb over the past two years. Others said they were moved by the members' genuine emotions, with clips of leader Woni's tearful speech and the group's encore stage circulating widely. The trophy follows months of growing momentum for RESCENE. "Love Attack," the title track from the group's 2024 first EP "Scenedrome," recently surged back up the charts, reaching No. 1 on Melon's daily chart and introducing the group to a much wider audience.

That momentum has continued with "Pretty Girl." Released earlier this month, the remake climbed into the top tier of major Korean streaming charts, including No. 1 on Melon's Hot 100, adding another milestone to the group's breakout year.
