BTS Tops K-POPIT Global Ranking Chart Amid European Tour Buzz
Continuing the European leg of their "ARIRANG" World Tour, BTS has risen to the top spot on the K-POPIT Board's global ranking.
According to K-POPIT BOARD, the K-POP analytics index, BTS climbed to No. 1 on the Global Rise Chart on July 15 with a Power Index (PWR_GL) score of 59. The Power Index combines data from music charts, social media activity and news coverage to measure an artist's overall momentum.
The group's latest surge has coincided with a steady stream of behind-the-scenes content from their European tour. Over the past several days, BTS members have shared a variety of lighthearted travel clips across social media, offering fans a glimpse into their time between concerts. The members have also remained highly active online, frequently interacting with fans by commenting on reels, edits and posts created by concertgoers, further fueling engagement throughout the tour.
Most recently on Jungkook’s personal social media accounts, he posted a video of himself, Taehyung (V) and J-Hope dancing to a ringtone rendition of the recently viral song “Du Bist Gut Genug” by German producer trio KITSCHKRIEG. The video appears to have been filmed across multiple locations in Munich, including scenes in front of what appears to be the group's private aircraft as well as in a public square where Jungkook, V and j-hope perform a lighthearted dance together.
While the choreography itself is playful and relaxed, the public setting drew particular attention from fans online, with many commenting that the members seemed slightly shy while dancing in front of passersby. Several clips show onlookers gathering nearby as the trio laughs through the performance, adding to the candid and spontaneous atmosphere of the video.
So far, the video has garnered over 23M views on TikTok while on Instagram reels it has amounted to over 30M views and over 90k comments. This not just continues to prove the group’s capability to stay within trends but also their consideration towards ARMY to keep showing small snippets of their daily life even while on tour.
